Enjoy A Weekend Getaway To Chic Paris

Whether it is the silver screen, fashion magazines or novels, Paris is always perceived as the trendiest, most romantic and generally the coolest place to be. What draws flocks of tourists to it? The list is endless: food; shopping; culture and even the seductive French language. Step onboard a ferry from Dover to Calais and make your way to the capital that makes us go warm in the heart.

A capital with everything to offer, it is difficult deciding which tourist hotspot to being your city breaks Europe weekend. Start the trip with a traditional pain au chocolat followed by a black coffee. One of the best things about France is knowing you’ll be guaranteed excellent food from any bakery.

Make the Sacre-Coeur your first point of call. There are plenty of attractions to discover here in the Montmatre area, home to Moulin Rouge. A few scenes from the movie Amelie starring Audrey Tattou were filmed here near the Sacre-Coeur.

Next, make your way to the River Seine to flee from the busy crowds. You can enjoy a walk along the river and take in the breathtaking ambiance of the French capital. After lunch, head to the Eiffel Tower. This French global icon was the world’s tallest building from 1889 up until 1930.

As well as amazing cultural sites, Paris is home to buzzing nightlife. There are a number of bars and restaurants like Man Ray, which are owned by world famous actors like John Malkovick and Johnny Depp. Once you have indulged in a highly rated meal at Man Ray, go to the bar area and have a few cocktails (or a beer)! If you still have a burst of energy left from the day, there are plenty of clubs that stay open until 6am.

Other sites yet to be mentioned include Notre Dame, Place de la Bastille and Montparnasse. Don’t rush to see at the tourist spots in a short amount of time. There are so many sites to discover. You can also meet your favourite cartoon characters by buying Disneyland Paris tickets. Making your way to Paris is cheap, easy and fast.
