Weekend Break In Berlin

Although Berlin is probably not as popular for short trips as some of the other illustrious cities in Europe, you would be pleasantly surprised at what a city break in Berlin has to offer.

Berlin has an abundance of sight-seeing destinations for tourists. Museums, castles, gardens and modern city attractions – Berlin has it all. You can also be certain to find an accommodation suitable to your needs in Berlin.

Conveyance within the city is extremely convenient. Treks on foot or open-top bus rides are advised to soak up the sights and sounds of the capital city. There is a lot to see and if your sojourn is short, guided tours are a good way to catch the tourist highlights.

As far as hot attractions are concerned, there is the Reichstag with its awesome glass dome, the zoological gardens, the Berlin TV tower, the Pergamon Museum, the Charlottenburg Palace and Gardens, the Brandenburg Gate and the New National Gallery.

The underground railway or the u-bahn has a very good service and is probably the most affordable and convenient way to get around. If you are visiting Berlin during the weekend make sure to visit the Mauerpark area for an absolutely thriving flea market.

Berlin is rebuilding its identity after a horrific war and decades of divided administration. The locals are hard working, honest and very warm and helpful towards tourists. Although a lengthy stay in visit is needed to soak up the charm of the beautiful city, a city break in Berlin is sure to leave you with unforgettable memories.
